  • Overview

    The Training Specialist I, Prod-Ops Support administers the training program, ensuring that employee training needs are defined and met. This position works with Training Power Users and end users to ensure that job appropriate training is available and completed.

    Responsibilities

    Specific job responsibilities are uniquely defined by individual training, but are generally defined as follows:

    1. Maintain training that meets all departmental needs and follows regulatory requirements for training and competency.
    2. Develop training materials for lab processes.
    3. Conduct and/or deliver training as needed.
    4. Create a variety of training programs including e-training, computer-based, lecture, and other training formats.
    5. Maintain the company Learning Management System (LMS) content and training records, to include the management of trainees, courses, and assessments.
    6. Assume ownership of LMS technical issues and provide technical assistance to users.
    7. Work with department Training Power Users to manage training.

    Qualifications

    Supporting documentation for the education and experience requirements are maintained in the employee’s personnel file.

    Meets one/combination of the following minimum education requirements:

    1. BS degree in an engineering discipline or in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science, with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
    2. BS degree with a minimum of 0-3 years of experience in company-oriented training environment. Candidates with experience in life sciences/healthcare training are highly preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle and/or feel; reach with hands to arms; and stoop; kneel; or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
