  • Overview

    The Strategic Product Manager- Payer Markets is primarily responsible for assisting with the tactical execution of evidence development necessary to win reimbursement for a group of products that represent pioneering advances in the field of molecular diagnostics.  This role establishes collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, evaluates current literature, and participates in developing the actionable approach to the evidence development necessary to accelerate reimbursement.  This position joins an elite team of cross-functional individuals who work to make novel diagnostic solutions accessible to more patients, more quickly.

     

    This position can be remote, with 25% travel to Salt Lake City, UT.

    Responsibilities

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Assess and thoroughly understand medical policies (health plans, self-funded employers, PBMs, and technology assessment organizations) specific to Myriad products and other molecular diagnostic products
    • Liaise with Medical Affairs, Managed Care Policy Specialists, and Medical Services to review new and existing literature
    • Analyze current evidence gaps in payer medical policies and technology assessments for Myriad products and maintain database
    • Work within a cross-functional team to conceptualize clinical validity, clinical utility, and cost effectiveness studies needed to fill evidence gaps
    • Participate in clinical development activities to support payer evidence needs in study execution
    • Participate in review of draft proposals, protocol synopsis, and publications
    • Work with external vendors to support the evidence production needs of the organization

     

    Assists Strategic Product Director in:

    • Product life cycle planning
    • Clinical development activities and prioritization
    • Completion of critical evidence development milestones
    • Ensure projects are progressing and aligned to objectives
    • Liaise between Managed Markets, Commercial and Clinical Development teams
    • Attend payer oriented conferences

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years in a payer health technology assessment organization or medical experience in biopharma or molecular diagnostics
    • Significant molecular diagnostic expertise strongly preferred
    • Master’s or doctoral degree in life science strongly preferred
    • Preferred experience or background in health economics and outcomes research
    • Preferred experience working with internal stakeholders from multiple departments within a company
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence others
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a matrix environment
    • In-depth product knowledge and knowledge of disease states in current field of expertise
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with effectively presenting to senior management
    • Significant Mac or PC knowledge with specific knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
