    Myriad Autoimmune has a Patient Advocate – DE s position that is responsible for supporting the customer service, laboratory, and reimbursement teams. This will include entering patient demographics, clinical data, and insurance information into the lab information system, billing software, and various tracking spreadsheets.. Established protocols and procedures of this department must be followed to ensure quality of patient results. The DE clerk is an entry level position under supervision of the DE Supervisor and Customer Service Department Manager.


    DE reviews all paperwork submitted with patient samples to ensure all required information for testing is received. They enter the patient’s insurance information into the database application and determine if the patient’s insurance requires additional documentation/processing for testing to be covered. The ability to focus on quality is crucial in this role. The candidate must be very detail oriented as well as be able to determine how small details will affect case completeness as a whole.



    • Provide and initiate administrative support and office systems
    • Enters customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format
    • Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
    • Identify, communicate and respond to reported problems in a timely fashion
    • Complete routine tasks with minimum supervision
    • Manage account documentation through standard process and regulatory guidelines
    • Responsible for processing patient demographics and insurance information, curating exception cases
    • High level of accuracy required as patient care is of upmost importance
    • Work quickly in a fast paced environment to process a high level of cases per day
    • Analyze all documents received with a sample and be able to determine how the pieces cohesively work together to secure coverage
    • Support Patient Advocate teams with up to date information
    • Provide administrative support and office systems
    • Complete routine tasks with minimum supervision
    • Comply with applicable CLIA and HIPPA regulations


    • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in customer service or office environment 
    • College degree (BS or BA) preferred, in biology, science or healthcare a plus
    • Knowledge of clinical lab systems and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems helpful
    • Accurate typing skills of at least 35 words per minute
    • Comprehensive understanding and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Able to manage several tasks simultaneously, often under pressure
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
    • Strong, recent professional references
