    Myriad Genetic Laboratories has an immediate opening for a creative and energetic individual to manage a subset of our growing Genetic Counselor Team.  This is a remote, work from home position that requires minimal travel.   


    We are currently looking to fill a Manager, Genetic Counselors position, joining a team of two managers and 24 Genetic Counselors in our TeleEducation Patient Program.  This is an excellent position for a self-motivated individual who is interested in a leadership role within Medical Services and inter-organizationally.  In this role, the Manager will be responsible for directly overseeing a team of remote Genetic Counselors on the TeleEducation team, providing oversight and feedback related to daily patient interactions and corporate projects.  To maintain knowledge and expertise for adequate coaching/feedback of team members, the Manager will spend 1/3 time on the phone taking patient education calls.  They will also help to set and execute the strategic direction for the team, specifically in the areas of enhancing existing services, streamlining workflow, and expanding product support. This is a new and evolving position, so we are looking for an independent, creative, adaptive individual who want to grow with the job!


    This home-based position requires a driven, motivated individual who is interesting in joining a team with a commitment to patient care and work-life balance. The genetic counselors on the TeleEducation team provide a wide range of patient and corporate medical support including:


    • Patient education around hereditary cancer testing as part of our TeleEducation Patient Program. These interactions would constitute approximately 1/3 time for the Manager position.
    • Expertise regarding current national guidelines and publications surrounding hereditary cancer genetics.
    • Opportunity to provide patient support and education for other Myriad tests related to prenatal and/or neuroscience products.
    • Development and execution of individual research projects, with opportunities to present at scientific meetings.
    • Contributions to patient and provider education materials.
    • Partnerships with other departments within Myriad Genetic Laboratories to facilitate optimal patient experiences.
    • Advocacy and education at patient support events.

    • Previous management experience preferred, but not required.
    • Board certified/eligible genetic counselor (required) with interest in hereditary cancer risk assessment.
    • Above average IT skills.
    • Genetic counseling licensure (or ability to obtain licensure) in licensed states as needed or applicable.
    • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills.
    • A dedicated, HIPAA compliant home work space
