  • Overview

    Myriad Genetics is looking for a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team.  This person would be an integral part of the forecasting and budget process, operating plan variance analysis, and other special projects. 

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities

    • Analyze current and historical trends for key performance indicators
    • Participate and manage budgeting, forecasting, and plan variance analysis of assigned divisions.
    • Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis
    • Quarterly and monthly financial reports
    • Analyze monthly, quarter reports to ensure financial information has been recorded accurately
    • Develop financial models and analyses to support key initiatives
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives
    • Duties are not limited to above, but may change at the discretion of senior management

    Qualifications

    Core Competencies:

    • Strong critical thinking, problem solving skills, and analytical skills
    • Communication proficiency with ability to communicate to executive levels
    • Financial and Business acumen
    • Ethical conduct
    • Ability to work independently and maintain strong teamwork
    • Technical capacity and aptitude to navigate financial systems and BI reporting tools
    • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
    • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and modeling
    • Detailed oriented
    • Strong organization skills

     

    Required Education and Experience

    • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. 
    • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
    • Oracle and BI software a plus.
