  • Overview

    The Medical Information Liaison (MIL) serves as a key point of scientific exchange among external individuals and internal personnel.  The MIL will assist in the execution of the key objectives of the Medical Information team, including the development of educational content, clinical consultations, and responding to medical inquiries. This positions reports to the Medical Information Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide clinical consultations by phone to healthcare providers and patients.
    • Develop educational collateral in the form of white papers, webinars, case studies, etc.
    • Curate a database of publications relevant to psychiatric pharmacogenomics and disease states.
    • Collaborate with medical science liaisons (MSLs) and Customer Support teams to respond to medical inquiries.
    • Coordinate the development of scientific and marketing collateral in conjunction with Marketing.
    • Participate in product research and development, providing input from a clinical perspective.
    • Travel time: 0-20% (some regional and national conference attendance may be encouraged)

    Qualifications

    • Must be a board certified/eligible genetic counselor (MS, LCGC), OR a licensed pharmacist (PharmD), OR a PhD in a relevant field, OR have an MS in a relevant field and at least 2 years of research experience
    • Knowledge and therapeutic experience in genomics, genetics, psychiatry and/or psychopharmacology
    • Direct experience in servicing customer needs by creating and communicating complex biomedical information
    • Clinical or research experience with pharmacogenomics
    • Exceptional written and verbal skills
    • Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work effectively under tight timelines and schedules
    • Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
    • Ability to sense the importance or impact of issues and situations and take appropriate actions
    • Must be flexible, innovative, and self-motivated
    • Must have the flexibility to work extra hours to meet corporate and departmental goals
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
