Responsible for the operation, improvement, and technical aspects of assay performance using automated instrumentation following MRBM’s documents.
The Lab Tech I reports to a Supervisor or above. The position will perform routine activities related to assay execution and instrument maintenance as informed by detailed instructions. The position will acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to become accountable for valid analyses, data integrity and assay performance.
The Lab Tech I is responsible for application of method and technology, on-going implementation of procedures and instrument maintenance according to MRBM quality standards.
Follow directions and laboratory procedures as assigned by supervisor.
Interact with other Lab Techs and Senior Lab Techs in the department.
Maintain Luminex and EVO workstations as instructed.
Execute assays using the instrumentation, according to MRBM established documents.
The position requires a BS degree or higher in a life sciences discipline. At least 0-5 years of relevant experience is preferred. Relevant experience must include experience performing and understanding immunoassays (Elisa, etc) preferably on bead based immunoassays. Excellent oral and written communication skills is required, and an
ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
