  • Overview

    This individual will be responsible for increasing utilization of Hereditary Cancer diagnostic testing in the Oncology, Surgery, Gastroenterology, Breast Imaging Preventive Care (women’s health) and Urology markets by working with large accounts, hospitals and playing an active role in project management and partnering with the SAM Team on execution of their Telegenetics Services.   The Telegenetics program is actively evolving, and anyone interested in this role will have to be able to adapt to a program that is actively expanding.

    Responsibilities

    The overall goal of the East Coast Telegenetics Strategic Account Manager is 60% Project Management support of the SAM’s, AE’s and AM’s in the PC, ONC and Uro BU’s and 40% managing and growing existing large Telegenetics customers with established business utilizing Telegenetics Services.  As a member of the SAM Team having an active collaboration to meeting the goals will be necessary; the tools/tactics include but are not limited to:

    • Mastery selling ability, with a skill set that will provide sales results over and above that of the area sales representative.  The ability to sell to and close Administrators, Thought Leaders, MD decision makers, and the C-Suite.
    • Collaboration with regional Account Executives, Strategic Account Managers and Area Managers to target, plan and drive test utilization within large healthcare practices or facilities at the clinical, financial and operations level, to achieve improved patient outcomes in existing Telegenetics sites no longer being managed by a Strategic, Account Manager.
    • Have the ability to lead sales organization through Project Management Skills that may include but are not limited to:
      • Managing launch timelines, working with internal partners (IT, RMS, Medical Services, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Sales)
      • Problem-solving
      • Creating marketing tools
      • Updating Telegenetics business rules, box tools, etc.
    • Providing Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance expertise that includes analysis and solutions to make hereditary cancer testing standard of care with healthcare providers. Including but not limited to LEAN and Six Sigma methodology to drive consistent, Executive Leadership down, reliable and dependable processes to support physician behavior and impact patient outcomes.
    • Building relationships between different disciplines across the academic and community network of healthcare providers to optimize an integrated multidisciplinary approach to the identification, diagnosis, and management of high-risk patients.
    • Developing strategic relationships with societies and Key Opinion Leaders, including billing, legal, process efficiency, quality, practice management, clinical and multi-state physician practices.

    Qualifications

    • Individuals to be considered for this position should have strong strategic thinking skills, extensive knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, ability to network (internally and externally), and a proven track record of success in sales demonstrated examples of leadership or management, preferably the Oncology, Women's Health, or molecular diagnostics markets.
    • S. degree required, MBA preferred along with Six Sigma or Lean Healthcare Certifications. Previous experience as a Strategic, Account Manager. This position requires up to 40% overnight travel.
