The Clinical Rheumatology Liaison (CRL) represents Crescendo in promoting Crescendo diagnostics along with the concept of Personalized Medicine (PGx) to both academic and community-based rheumatologists, and mid-level practitioners in their territory. The CRL will assure all logistical issues are managed with Health Care Providers (HCP’s). The role of the CRL may vary relative to an office or a physician during adoption of Crescendo diagnostics. Initial exposure to product adoption, the CRL will engage in selling activities much of which are educational in nature, with the goal of familiarizing and promoting to the audience and building the need for PGx in Rheumatology. This will include additional education on the technologies and statistical methods used in Crescendo’s assay development. Post adoption, the role will add logistical support to ensure any tests submitted by an HCP are handled efficiently and provide clinical review and support for interpretation of results. The CRL will also be continually educating HCP’s on new data and publications relating to optimal use of Crescendo diagnostics. Primary selling activity includes, but not limited to, the following:
The most competitive candidates will have over 10 years’ experience in sales, with a track record of success, promoting scientifically complex products to a specialty medical audience. In particular, those with recent experience selling into rheumatology or immunology may be most effective in gaining access to targeted accounts. The other group likely to do well in this role will have marketed PGx services to other specialized medical professionals. Those hired into this position will almost certainly have a mix of these backgrounds, weighted more towards rheumatology than PGx. Plus factors will include an educational background in the life sciences, real experience as a health care provider, demonstrated success with novel products that are first-in-class and a deep interest in truly consultative selling.
