Overview

An immediate opening for a Scientist position, within the Diagnostic Development group at Myriad Genetic Laboratories, which will participate in the development of molecular assays for personalized medicine. The candidate for this position must have experience in molecular biology techniques. Specifically, experience in RNA expression and PCR are required. Research experience that was performed in an independent manner, in either an academic or industry setting, is also required. Experience with RNA splicing and qRT-PCR are highly desirable. Supervisory experience and experience working in a regulated environment are also desirable.

Responsibilities

  • The responsibilities include the development and support of sophisticated clinical molecular tests. These activities will include experimental design, data collection, independent problem solving, and data analysis. These development activities will also require documentation, requiring excellent technical communication and writing skills.

Qualifications

Required:

  • PhD, or Masters degree with 5 years of experience
  • Experience in RNA expression and PCR

Preferred:

  • Experience with RNA splicing
  • Experience working in a regulated lab environment (i.e. CLIA)
