Overview

 

Myriad Genetics seeks a biostatistician to join an existing group that provides statistical support to research teams engaged in the discovery and development of clinical molecular tests for personalized medicine. This person would be skilled at manipulating and processing data and able to perform standard statistical analyses.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Tracking quality metrics for laboratory processes
  • Design and analysis of laboratory experiments
  • Compiling and verifying data
  • Evaluating new technologies
  • Reproducing statistical results for submission to regulatory agencies and publications in peer-reviewed journals

 

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in statistics or Bachelor’s degree in statistics or mathematics with experience
  • Proficiency in R or SAS; Unix and SQL desirable
  • Biotech experience considered a plus (BLAST searches, interpreting sequencing or microarray results, interest in technology)
  • Excellent communication skills including effective graphical presentation of data
