Overview

Myriad Genetic Laboratories seeks a full time Patient Advocate Receptionist to accurately process incoming calls, faxes and requests to ensure timely testing of patient samples.

Responsibilities

Each employee’s specific job responsibilities are uniquely defined by their individual training plan and assigned duties, but are generally defined as follows:

  • Responsible for answering incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
  • Routes phone calls, answer general questions
  • Interacts with patients, clinicians, insurers, and Myriad employees in a timely and professional manner
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail and faxes in an accurate and timely manner
  • Participate in the Quality Assurance plan
  • Complies with applicable CLIA and HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
6 months to 1 year of medical setting experience preferred
Effective communication skills
Detail oriented, teamwork and multitasking skills
Quick learner
Excellent problem solving and research skills
High level of accuracy
Excellent reading comprehension and analyzing skills
Proficiency in Windows and Internet Browsers 
Ability to work between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm Monday through Friday
