Overview

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will lead a team comprised of 9-10 regional Clinical Rheumatology Liaisons (CRLs) that represent Crescendo Bioscience in promoting diagnostics along with the concept of Personalized Medicine (PGx) to both academic and community-based rheumatologists, as well as mid-level practitioners.  Reporting to the National Sales Director, the RSM will manage a dynamic sales team with the goal to increase both revenue and volume of Crescendo products.

 

 

Responsibilities

A successful RSM candidate is expected to:

  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals & revenue for assigned region with an understanding of market conditions and sales opportunities
  • Administrative Responsibilities:  Manage expenses and assist in budget development for region. Ensure adherence to and timely application of all company policies including travel and expense
  • Maintain and expand the strongest sales team in the US Rheumatology Market
    • Coach seasoned sales representatives in regards to enhanced selling skills, business opportunities, effective resource utilization and clinical knowledge and lab logistics
    • Recruit, retain and motivate CRLs
    • Play an active role in personal development, success, and performance of CRLs within the territory
    • Clear knowledge of company products and competitive offerings
  • Build and leverage strong relationships with key opinion leaders and other key MDs, including the Top 25 in the Region
  • Develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders including Crescendo Marketing, Managed Care, Customer Service and Medical/Medical Affairs teams

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required; MBA preferred
  • 7-10 years’ experience in Sales Management of medical products including:
    • Coaching, developing, and motivating experienced sales professionals
    • Personal development and performance management of sales professionals
    • Budget management
  • Rheumatology Sales experience is mandatory, diagnostics experience is preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking, customer focus and communication skills
  • Success in a small company environment
  • Located within the regional boundaries is preferred
  • Must be able to travel 70% of the time and drive extended distances per geographic requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
